BioLand Aloe Vera Gel 300mL bottle with aloe leaves
What makes it different.

Three things. In simple terms.

i.

Freshly harvested.

Cold-processed within 24 hours of cut. Not stored in tanks. Not heat-treated. The gel that goes into the tube is the gel that came out of the leaf.

ii.

Cold-processed.

Most gels are heat-treated and reconstituted from powder. Ours never sees heat, and never starts from powder. Freshly harvested, freshly bottled.

iii.

Face, body, and hair.

One tube, three rooms. Smooth a small amount through damp hair after the shower. Some people keep a second bottle in the bathroom for that reason alone.

Why cold-processing matters.

Heat-treatment is the industry shortcut. We didn't take it.

Most aloe vera gel on the shelf has been heat-treated, freeze-dried, and reconstituted from powder. It saves the manufacturer time. We start with the leaf instead, freshly harvested, so the gel goes into the tube the way it came out.

The aloe stays. The shortcuts don't.

Our gel is cold-processed within 24 hours of harvest. The aloe stays the way it came out of the leaf. The rest of the formula sits around it, doing only what aloe alone cannot do.

Glycerin to hold the hydration window open. A clean, paraben-free preservative system so the gel is as good in week three as in week one.

The result is a gel that absorbs in seconds, never goes sticky, and behaves the way real aloe should.

Since 1995

Thirty years in, same great formula.

Rows of aloe vera growing in Costa Rica, mountain in the distance at golden hour
The plot

It started small.

A man named Ronald tended the rows. When demand outgrew the plot, the neighbours sold us theirs. Most had grown aloe as decoration. None had thought to sell it. They were happy to.

The gel

Cut to lab in minutes.

Cold-processed within twenty-four hours of harvest. The first tubes were hard to seal. That part took a while to figure out.

Thirty years on

Same bottle Costa Rica reaches for.

Brand changed. Lab didn't. Source didn't. What's on the front is different. What's inside is not.

Every ingredient. Why it's here.

Made without sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, artificial colors, synthetic vitamins, or animal-derived ingredients.

Questions worth answering.

Five questions. Five answers.

Honest answers, no asterisks.

What's actually in it?
Aloe vera juice leads, cold-processed the way it left the leaf. Around it sits only what aloe alone can't do: glycerin to hold the hydration window open, and a clean, paraben-free preservative system. The full INCI list sits just above this section, with nothing left off.
What does cold-processed actually mean?
It means the aloe never sees heat. Most gels on the shelf are heat-treated and reconstituted from powder. Heat saves the manufacturer money, and starts from powder instead of the leaf. We don't take that shortcut.
Can I use it on my hair?
Yes. Smooth a small amount through damp hair after the shower. A lot of reviewers describe keeping a second bottle in the bathroom for that reason.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
The formula is free from SLS, parabens, artificial colors, synthetic vitamins, and animal-derived ingredients. If you are reactive, patch test on the inner arm and wait twenty-four hours. The full ingredient list sits above this section.
Is this the same product Costa Rica buys?
Yes. Same formula, same source, same lab, same bottle. The label on the front is different. The gel inside is not.
